Breakfast at the Hyatt

The participants in the Veterans Car Show were invited to a breakfast buffet at the beautiful Hyatt Lost Pines Resort in Bastrop. 

When you turn off the highway into the resort property you really appreciate the size of this resort.  It is almost a 15-minute drive to the hotel (speed limit of 19mph).  The Oldsmobile group cruised in as a group and joined the others. Staff at the resort directed us to park in the grassy areas near the front of the hotel. 

The resort's annual Christmas Tree display was set up in the hotel - check out the tree decorated for the Texas Longhorns.  And check out the chandelier made with a cypress tree branch.

We said our goodbyes after breakfast and all headed home.
