Silver, with dark blue interior
427/390 hp 4 speed
We drove up to east Texas to look at this car in July of 1984. It was an amazing unrestored 17,000 mile car. We were amazed at how good the silver paint had held up. We bought it on the spot and drove it back to Austin.
This was the first Corvette I really enjoyed driving. Unlike the mid-year Corvettes the seat actually adjusted forward enough forward for me to comfortably reach the pedals. Couldn't do that in a mid-year Corvette. Loved the horsepower and the 4-speed. Very smooth and fast. I didn't keep a record of the details on this car so I don't know who we sold it to. I do remember that the buyer drove it hard and blew up the engine the first year. Sad way to treat a survivor with low miles.
These pictures were taken at Joe White's Performance Automotive in Austin.
This photo was taken of the car when we showed it at the Austin Autorama at the Palmer Events Center in Austin.
